We confirmed about 1,200 swans in this winter in Azumino.
They came to Japan to escape from the cold in Siberia, Rassia.
With the coming of spring, they fly back to their native land, northern Siberia which faces to the Arctic Ocean. They fly about 4,000㎞ to get to their home.
The first return was confirmed in the middle of February. Almost half of them have returned in the early March.
And at the end of March all swans are going to return.
We cannot help praying that they can get back to their home safely. We are sincerely looking forward to meeting them next winter.
